Is Norway Accessible?

Barcelona is celebrated as one of the most accessible cities in the world, particularly for those who travel with wheelchairs. At Up Norway, we believe Norway has the potential to lead in accessibility too. While we're working towards that goal, we are dedicated to ensuring that travelers with special needs choose Norway as their travel destination and can fully enjoy their Norwegian adventure.

Norway is open to everyone. Come on Up!

Collaboration with Sunnaasstiftelsen

In 2023, we partnered with Sunnaasstiftelsen to explore how Up Norway can create more accessible travel experiences and enhance Norway's appeal to all travelers. Sunnaasstiftelsen is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to lead fulfilling and active lives.

Together with business stakeholders in Northern Norway, Sunnaasstiftelsen has launched the accessible tourism project Adapt2Explore. In June 2024, we attended their summit in Tromsø to gain new insights and inspiration for improving our practices and offerings.
