Terms of service
It is our goal to ensure your trip to Norway is everything you wished for. Should you need to make amendments to your booked itinerary, you are always welcome to contact us and we will make the necessary arrangements. Please bear in mind that some of our partners are small and their services are in high demand. This means that the earlier you reserve the better. Partners may also have costs involved in preparing for your arrival or costs related to administering changes. This means late cancellations and amendments after booking may involve a fee. In case of domestic flight tickets, amendments may not be possible and a new ticket may be required if changes are to be made. The traveller must be responsible for this cost.

Booking & payment
Payments are made through bank transfer, or a secure payment link sent to you by e-mail to be settled by Paypal. Packages purchased directly on the website are paid through Stripe. Stripe operates at the highest level of security and Up Norway does not store any of your payment details. When you are ready to confirm your itinerary, a full payment is charged to your credit card. If the booking is made more than 8 weeks prior to arrival, you may contact us by email email@example.com to make a 15% down payment. We will then start reserving your trip to secure you the best places, experiences and prices. In the case of a down payment, the full amount due is done at least 8 weeks before arrival. If the booking is made less than 8 weeks prior to arrival, the full amount is always due at the time of booking. Domestic flights are always charged in full at the time of booking. If final payment is not received within due date, Up Norway reserves the right to cancel the booking and keep the deposit.
Prices of flights and accommodation may change after you have received your itinerary, we therefore recommend you secure your booking through payment as soon as possible after receiving your final itinerary. As soon as Up Norway has received your payment (or deposit), we will confirm all your bookings and send you a written confirmation. If Up Norway for any reason is unable to confirm your itinerary after payment you will have the right to a full refund of the amount paid to Up Norway.
A 2.5% fee will be charged for payments by MasterCard and Visa. These additional charges are inclusive of VAT. American Express cards are not accepted.
Modifying or cancelling a booking
All amendments or cancellations are made by contacting Up Norway on firstname.lastname@example.org. If you need to make modifications during your journey, you can call us or get in touch via chat in the Up app. We do not charge extra for helping you change or rearrange your journey after the time of booking, however costs may occur due to late cancellations or when selecting new accommodation facilities, modes of transportation, activities or food experiences. In the case of a change in price, we will either notify you about the increased costs or refund you the difference. Please also note that we might not be able to fulfil your changed requirements due to lack of availability, but we will always do our best.
Refund claims must be submitted by email within 2 weeks after the completion of the specific journey or activity. To receive a refund for a cancelled service, it must be cancelled directly through Up Norway. We can unfortunately not take responsibility for cancellation of services made directly through our partners. Please note that changing the number of people in a booking to a smaller number is considered cancellation for the change in number of persons. No refunds will be made in the case of no-show.
You can cancel your trip up to 8 weeks in advance before arrival day and receive up to 85% refund on the entire trip, excluding domestic flights which are non-refundable regardless of time of cancellation. The 15% fee is to cover our cost of planning your trip. Should you wish to cancel up to 4 weeks before arrival, you may lose up to 50% of total cost. Cancellations made less than 4 weeks to arrival, may involve a loss of the trip’s total costs. Cancelling individual services within a journey, may involve loss of related cost.
If our partners cancel activities due to weather conditions or any other circumstances, every effort will be made to offer a suitable alternative.
Liability, insurance and feedback
Up Norway cannot be liable to any loss, damage, accidents, injuries or sickness during your journey. The same applies for any changes in your itinerary due to weather, strikes or any other force majeure. Up Norway and our partners reserve the right to change routes, schedules and itineraries if needed because of weather, road conditions or should the necessity arise because of unforeseen reasons. This is always with your safety and best interest in mind. We advise all travelers to purchase a comprehensive travel insurance to minimize possible losses due to unforeseeable situations during your travel. Up Norway does not operate any tours but directs you to partners in the form of hospitality and service providers in Norway. Service providers may also include local non-professional partners. Up Norway cannot be liable for any accidents, losses, injuries, damages, delays, expenses due to any action or inaction on the part of the operators, guides and service providers. As the terms and conditions of each operator and service provider may vary, please read the terms and conditions of each of our partners that are included on your itinerary. Up Norway and its partners accept no responsibility for any sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, government restrains, acts of war and/or terrorism, weather conditions, defect in any vehicle of transportation or for any misadventure or casualty or any other causes beyond their control.
Car rental terms
All drivers must adhere to the rules put forward by the rental car company in question. When you receive your car, you must present a valid driver’s license and a credit card. You will be asked to sign a contract with the car rental. We advise you read this contract carefully and make sure that you are aware of the different insurances that you choose; what you are insured for, self-risk and more. Up Norway cannot be liable to any damages, injuries, accidents or sickness during your journey. All matters related to damages to the car are dealt with directly with the car rental.
Up Norway reserves the right to modify or amend its Terms of Service at any time without notice. Up Norway also reserves the right of final decision on the interpretation of its Terms of Service above.
Passports & visas
It is the responsibility of all travellers to check with the consulate of the country they are visiting for current entry requirements. As visa and health requirements are subject to change without notice, we recommend that you verify health and visa requirements with the appropriate consulate prior to departure.
Fitness Level & Risk
It is your responsibility to estimate if your own fitness level fits the activity recommended and booked. By booking with Up Norway you acknowledge that participation in certain activities involve risks above and beyond those encountered on a more conventional holiday. Such risks include, but are not limited to, the possibility of injury or death, psychological trauma, disease, loss or damage to property, inconvenience and discomfort. Up Norway will always have your safety first in mind, but you are responsible for taking necessary precautions to avoid serious damage or injury to yourself and others. By confirming your booking through payment and acceptance of Terms & Conditions, you fully accept these risks and agree not to hold Up Norway responsible in case of injury, damage or loss.
